Today, we'd like to introduce you to Denny Carda, Service Technician at Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls.

Question: How long have you worked here at Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls?
Denny: 16 years! And all this time I’ve been a technician. I actually started while in the program at Southeast Technician Institute.
Q: What is the nicest thing about working in the service drive at Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls?
D: The atmosphere in the service department. Co-workers are fun to work with and it’s clean. I have a few buddies who work in independent and other dealership service shops, and ours is really clean and bright in comparison.
Q: What should first-time visitors know about the Luxury Auto Mall service department?
D: We can work on anything you bring in, and our technicians are trustworthy. Service shops sometimes have a bad reputation, but we get away from that. We take pride in our work and in honesty.
Q: What does a typical workday look like for you?
D: I get here at 6:40am to get logged in and plan the day out with what’s on the schedule. I do a variety of repair jobs from engine repairs to electrical nightmares! There are days when I even skip lunch because we are busy in the shop.
Q: What is the highest count of vehicles you remember working on in one day?
D: I’ve gotten as high as over 20 vehicles worked on in one day!
Q: What vehicle on the lot is your favorite, and what are some things you like about it?
D: I like the Cadillac Escalade as far as a fun vehicle to work on. Otherwise, I like the Cadillac CT6 – it can drive itself! It’s amazing and works better than the Tesla self-driving vehicles. Plus, the comfort is amazing.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
D: I play a lot of softball, hunt, fish and chase my 3 kids around. They are 7, 6 and 5-years-old.
