Today, we'd like to introduce you to Crystal Jansma, Estimator at our just-relocated ABRA Auto Body & Glass south location on Carolyn Ave, just south of Century 14 Theater.

Question: You’ve had a pretty hectic month here at ABRA, tell us about that!
Crystal: We’ve been preparing to move into a new facility at a new location! Lots of things to get accomplished over the weekend before the opening at the new place, but it was running nicely that Monday morning.
Q: So, ABRA Auto Body & Glass has now expanded to 2 locations. The (almost) 1-year-old new facility off W 12th Street, next to Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls; and this new ABRA location on Carolyn Ave. What new opportunities does this new location provide your ABRA location?
C: First, the space. This new location is almost double in size. We have the room to get out more production. It’s a cleaner facility, more lighted and just better!
Q: What is the nicest thing about working at ABRA Auto Body & Glass?
C: The people. We’re a team and we express that every day. They say there is no “I” in team; that’s true and shows in how we’ve grown. We are truly a family.
Q: What should first-time visitors know about ABRA?
C: We repair all makes and models. We also have a lifetime warranty on workmanship and paint. We stand behind our work. We have great relationships with many insurance companies, but can work with all so that never stands in the way of repair work.
Q: What does a typical workday look like for you?
C: We hit the ground running when we open the doors. We have a “board meeting” first thing with our whole team to go through the plan for the day and all the cars we are currently working on. Then I make my calls to keep our customers updated. Throughout the day I do estimates on vehicles. Sounds simple, but there is so much to do! And when a vehicle is finished, I do a final inspection before I contact my customers. I’ll do the delivery with the customer so they know everything that was completed and there are no questions.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
C: I’m an outdoors person. I love to be outside. We just bought a camper to go camping and I also ride my motorcycle. And I like to spend time with family. I’ve got some family far away in Kentucky.
