Today, we'd like to introduce you to Ronald Wuertz, Parts Advisor here at Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls.

Question: Ronald, how long have you been part of the Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls team?
Ronald: It will be 5 years on March 25th. I actually first started as a Service Advisor in Cadillac and then moved into parts from there.
Q: You play a big role in the dealership, but all behind a counter. What does a typical day look like for you?
R: A lot of filling orders from bodyshops all around town. I am the point-of-contact at Luxury Auto Mall for outside businesses to reach out to. 65% – 70% of the orders I do are for them. Plus, we have two ABRA Auto Body & Glass shops that we are always providing parts for.
Q: Do you believe working in the parts department of 3 luxury brands is different than the parts department of other makes?
R: Even though I have not worked with other parts departments of other makes (started with the best!), I know that we have different customers. We actually work more with other repair facilities and less with luxury brand owners face-to-face. For other makes, there are more people who repair their own vehicles, but less with these luxury brands.
Q: Tell us a little about your team in the parts department.
R: There is a lot of experience. We also have a lot of diversity. Our parts team members come from being former technicians and other areas of the automotive industry. That means there is a great understanding of what other departments need.
Q: What is your favorite luxury vehicle at Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls?
R: BMW 320i xDrive. My wife and I lease it - actually, it’s more her car! The car is fun to drive and my wife likes it because it’s sporty and the luxuries it provides.
Q: What are you looking forward to in 2018?
R: First, surviving the remodeling at Luxury Auto Mall! BMW sales and service remodel is done. Mercedes-Benz service has now started, and the showfloor is coming soon. But, it will be exciting to see it all completed.
